About us
At KURO by Konbu, we bring the modern Japanese kitchen to Groningen. Our ambition is to offer a unique culinary experience with exceptional Japanese dishes, presented in a contemporary style.
In our kitchen, we use special fish species that are rarely available in Groningen, such as Hamachi (Yellowtail) and Snowcrab. Each dish is carefully crafted, ensuring we maintain the essence of Japanese cuisine while creatively exploring different flavors and textures.
The name “Kuro” means black and may be perceived negatively by some. However, for us, it symbolizes mystery and strength. We aim to inspire our guests and introduce them to something new that we are proud of.

What our guests experience
Groups
Both Konbu Jiro and Konbu Streetfood are suitable for large groups and or catering. We regularly organise various events on special requests, such as birthdays, bachelor parties, team outings, as well as various caterings!
